The Gödöllő Symphonic Orchestra was founded by the music teachers of the Music School Frédéric Chopin in 1981. In the 1980s the orchestra performed as a chamber orchestra but since the 1990s it has been a symphonic orchestra and since July 2003 it has been an independent institute. Recently the orchestra has usually contributed to the growing number of cultural programmes of Gödöllő and its area by 6-8 concerts annually. It is an honour for us that the National Choir has accepted our invitation to our oratorio concerts four times. The permanent concertmaster of the orchestra has been Juniki Spartakus since 2001. Our permanent conductors are János Bali, Tamás Csurgó and Tamás Gál. Our guest conductors are Gábor Horváth and Gergely Ménesi. The aim of the orchestra is to represent high standard symphonic classicak music in the town of Gödöllő.
