People believe that they can form tales but in reality it is the other way round.

The characters of a tale exist independently like the big, whipping ribbons of space and time casted in a form. They have been coiling since the start of times. And they develop, too. The weakest extinct and the strongest survive and they grow every time they are told again...

Their mere existence can hardly be noticed but they keep weaving chaos, which is history. Tales engrave templates and they are deep enough to be followed by people and every time when new characters walk on the path of a tale, the routine gets deeper.

A tale when it starts is moulded into a form. It receives all the vibrations of all the earlier versions of the story. This is why history keeps repeating itself.

Thus a thousand heroes have stolen the fire from the gods and a thousand wolves have eaten grandmother and a thousand princesses have been kissed… Now it is impossible for the third and youngest son of any kings not to succeed if they buckle down a mission.

Tales are not interested in who takes part in them. The only thing that matters is that the tale is told and the story is repeated. Or if you like, think of them this way: tales are parasite life forms and deform lives just to serve the story itself.
