It is commonly known that the pope is the best guarded public figure in the world. He travels by bullet-proof popemobile, is protected by body guards and it is impossible to get close to him. It is simply not possible to kidnap him. But what if someone manages to that, even though he does not want to. Or maybe the pope kidnapped himself? Or he simply popped over to the rabbi to put together a kosher dinner and have some games of chess? And how much ransom can be demanded for a kidnapped pope? So many absurd questions and hypotheses in one absurd comedy which is behind its absurdity really human and honest. Humans act as humans in human situations to achieve a human goal. Well, this is really absurd, isn’t it? Or are we so much used to the cruelty of the world around us that we find it impossible that should be the most natural? We simply ask questions and the viewers must find the answers. If we are lucky, we think the same and wink as an accomplice because maybe even we can do something to make this world a better place- even for a day. But in no way should we kidnap the pope ...
