Don Filippo Neri lives in Rome as the patron of orphans gathering around him. The children live in the dilapidated church in poverty but thanks to the priest in love. But the devil keeps working in his workshop outside the shelter that offers safety. Don Filippo recognises this and starts a fight against the devil to protect the world from damnation and saves the soul of his favourite protégé, Cirifischio from perdition. But the final battle happens not exactly the same way as he planned.
