The Orpheum guides the audience into the nights of Berlin in the 1920s and 30s. Andrea Fullajtár recalls the memory of one of the greatest divas of the 20^th century with her musical evening. The diva’s ideology, dynamics, opinion about men and women and obviously her world famous songs are interpreted by the Mari Jászai-awarded actress with lots of humour, accompanied by a three-man jazz band.
This evening we hear selections from the book Marlene Dietrich’s ABC and of course her greatest hits will also be heard (Boomerang Baby, Fallin’ In Love Again, Lili Marleen, Tell me where the flowers are).
Marlene Dietrich conquered not only the soldiers fighting on the frontiers but also the whole world with her songs and performing character. In 1930 she became an American film star and she never returned to Hitler’s Germany.
