I was born
in Sümeg and we lived in Zalaegerszeg from 1950. I studies chemistry in
Nagykanizsa and I was influenced by the music trendy that time that I also
played the guitar and sang in a band. Unfortunately I lost my parents very
early but I started a family young and they have always been a secure
background for me. After the trials of the first years I started working in
Zalaegerszeg at the Regional Food Inspection Institute, I learned a lot and I
tried to do my job with the greatest precision. Besides the analytical work I
had to do a second job in my free time, so I maintained the furnaces of the
institute as well to make a living. By the time I got experience in maintaining
this equipment, also in technical surveillance and then I continued these
activities and the trade of furnaces in a limited company founded by me and
gaining professional acknowledgement, which is why we moved to Gödöllő in 1997.
At the moment I am a pensioner and for a long time I thought I would continue
active work until the end of my life. By the time I had more and more
opportunities to travel. First on business and then as a tourist I managed to
get to many places where I really have to record what I can see. Most of my
photographer friends played with a camera already in their childhood but this
arrived in my life just before my retirement, ‘...though I also received a Pajtás
camera when I was a child’...The appearance of digital technology really
inspired me. My first digital camera was a bridge camera and it lead me to the
world of professional machines and equipment. I did some photography courses
and took part in photo tours to develop my theoretical and practical knowledge.
The pictures of this exhibition are the result of only ten-twelve year’s work. I
made my first photos just for myself and did not want to show them publicly for
a while but then I met some really talented and experienced photographers who I
could and can learn from and with. Now several successful exhibitions are
behind me. I am just opening my second exhibition in Zalaegerszeg, where I
spent my youth; I hope they will like it.
