It is a
compilation of pieces of 20th century Hungarian poets seeking God, Mihály
Babits, Endre Ady, Attila József, János Pilinszky and other poets in the form
of an unconventional musical literary performance, the form of which has its
source from the structure of Zoltán Latinovits’s Balassi evenings and László Mensáros’s
legendary 20th Century performances and is staged for the audience
with a similar goal.
This evening by Károly Eperjes has been performed in the country and abroad for
long decades. He has collected one hundred and forty-four poems so far during
the years. How many of them he tells one evening always depends on the audience
and their needs but he never changes the ternary structure of the programme.
