Cimbaliband makes the audience of Gödöllő happy again with a special and unique production. István Pál Szalonna and his Band has a concert in the big hall of MUZA for the first time and immediately as the guest of the Pro Urbe Gödöllő awarded Cimbaliband. Balázs Unger and István Pál have been friends since their childhood and their careers meet from time to time. They started in the Galga Band, then in the Hungarian State Folk Band, next in Fonó Band, after that in Szalonna and his Band. What is more, Szalonna is a guest performer on several records of Cimbaliband. The idea was obvious to have a grandiose mutual programme by the autumn 2018 and where else could they find a better venue for their premiere than in MUZA.  At their concert On the Wings of Folk Music they play the most popular songs of the two bands in special rescored varieties. It will be worth listening to Sándor Ürmös and Balázs Unger’s cymbal duet as well as István Pál Szalonna’s and Cimbaliband’s violinist, Máté Solymosi’s violin duel, not to mention the rest of the great musicians. The concert will be recorded since after the premiere the two bands would like to show On the Wings of Folk Music at several places.
