Frankie is a waitress and Johnny is a cook. First they laid eyes on each other in the restaurant. Then they made love. So far it is wonderful but they should figure out how to continue.

A successful film adaptation was made based on the play with Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer, with the title Frankie and Johnny.
